In the new advertisement for Dolce & Gabbana’s “Light Blue” collection, James appears coming out of the sea in tight white underwear, in a scene clearly reminiscent of iconic moments from classic Bond films.
The advertisement, shot in Italy by photographer Gordon von Steiner, features the actor alongside model Victoria Cherti in a “classic Bond girl scene.”
According to UK bookmakers, James jumped to the favorite position with odds of 6/4, leaving behind veteran contenders like Aaron Taylor-Johnson, whose odds fell to 6/1.
The change in betting odds comes at a perfect timing – in February 2025, Amazon MGM Studios took creative control of the Bond franchise from producers Barbara Brooke and Michael Wilson.
Reports suggest Amazon wants producer Amy Pascal (behind “Spider-Man: No Way Home” and “Challengers”) to oversee the next stages of the franchise.
Interestingly, Daniel himself expressed support for Josh after their collaboration on the third film in the “Well-Executed Murder” series directed by Ryan Johnson.
Daniel’s support, having played Bond for 15 years, is considered very influential on the final decision.Will James be the next Bond? Only time will tell, but the winds are blowing in his favor.
